How the RCUV Water Disinfection System Works
The RCUV ultraviolet water disinfection system from RainSoft of NE Iowa treats water as it enters your home through a three-step process:
Water Enters the Chamber: Household water flows into the stainless steel UV chamber at the point of entry

The RCUV does require water to be pre-filtered to at least 5 microns before entering the UV chamber. Clear water allows UV light to reach microorganisms effectively, while sediment and turbidity can interfere with treatment. If you use well water without adequate pre-filtration, our team can determine what needs to come first. Our well water filtration system can provide that pretreatment.
